The award dedicated to gamebooks returns
Play – the Games Festival, in collaboration with Ludo Labo and Librogame’s Land — Italy's largest community of gamebook enthusiasts and authors — is proud to present the Librogame Magnifico award.
Inspired by the Goblin Magnifico, the award celebrates the world of gamebooks through a public vote. Eligible works are those published between 1 March 2025 and 28 February 2026.
The fifth edition is now under way, with the first round of voting open from today. The "Sondaggione" poll — available on the homepage of www.librogame.net — features 25 nominees.
The selection was curated by a team of experts led by Tiziana Lauro and Matteo Bisanti, collaborators of Ludo Labo and Play, together with administrators and moderators from the Librogame's Land community.
All members registered on Librogame's Land by 28 February 2026 may cast a single vote for the gamebook they consider the best. The most voted titles from this first round will advance to the final, where a second poll will crown the winner.
Voting opened on Monday 6 April — so head over, pick your favourite gamebook, and make your voice heard!
