Illustrator and comic artist will be at Play 2026
Born in 1995, Francesco Mazziotta is a medical doctor by profession and training, specialized in Preventive Medicine. For as long as he can remember, he has tried to fit drawing into his daily routine in every possible way.
After years of self-taught experience in the world of webcomics and role-playing games—where he honed his skills by consistently publishing online a comic based on his first Dungeons & Dragons campaign, titled The Night Crows—he entered the world of illustration. He collaborated with Dario Moccia and Panini, first on Monsters!, then on Disney Anthology, and later contributed to recent editorial projects by Tomodachi Press, including 50 Endangered Animals, Cuphead – Out of the Cards, and Release the Creatures: Dinosaurs!.
Over the years, he has also collaborated internationally with Upper Deck, and more recently, among his personal projects, stands out ZETA: A Space Cosmic Opera, a multi-narrative universe spanning role-playing games, board games, and comics.
In his remaining time, he hosts a podcast titled Vita Chinata, where he collects interviews with comic artists and illustrators from the Italian scene.
